New EQRS Feature: Dashboard Reports

September 6, 2023

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a Dashboard Reports feature in the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Reporting System (EQRS) on September 5, 2023. Beginning on this date, EQRS users can access the Dashboard Reports screen by clicking on Reports Dashboards from the Reports drop-down tab in EQRS (Figure 1). Dashboard reports are available and displayed in EQRS based on the user’s EQRS role.

The Facility Hemodialysis (HD) Clinical Dashboard and Facility Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Clinical Dashboard are currently the only dashboards available in EQRS. CMS will add additional dashboards to the Dashboard Reports screen in EQRS in the near future. Users can generate these three clinical reports for both HD and PD data from the Facility Clinical Dashboard:

  • Patient Detail Report
  • Facility Aggregate Report
  • Averages Report

These reports reflect EQRS Clinical Data submitted by the facility and display several laboratory and medication values including hemoglobin, serum albumin, Kt/V, uncorrected calcium, administered erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESAs), IV iron, and more. Users can filter Facility Clinical Dashboard data by EQRS Unique Patient Identifier (UPI) number and a specific date range to generate drill-down reports (Figure 2). Users can download and print each report by using the Export to CSV or Export to Excel function within the dashboard.
