New EQRS Features Released: Nursing Home Identifier & Telemedicine Usage
November 3, 2021
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has added two new features to the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Reporting System (EQRS). These are the Nursing Home Identifier and Telemedicine Usage features.
The Nursing Home Identifier is a new reporting option located on the Patient screen in the Contact Information section. This new feature allows EQRS users to report a nursing home setting for nursing home patients.
Telemedicine is a new optional reporting section located on the Manage Clinical screen. This new feature allows EQRS users to report telemedicine utilization and frequency for Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Collection Types. Defined by CMS, telemedicine is a visit with a provider that uses telecommunication systems between a provider and a patient.
These new features will be included in future EQRS New User Training events. Visit MyCROWNWeb.org to sign up for an EQRS New User Training event and/or to view the EQRS New User Training materials.
